At the completion of her studies, she moved across the world to Portland, Oregon. A thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2006 shifted Renee's career focus to the outdoor industry, and she found herself in a variety of positions including leading trail crews in Colorado, guiding hikes around Oregon and working with a local Wilderness Therapy organization, Second Nature. Renee has decided to officially enjoy the outdoors on her own terms and time off, and returned to the design industry as Art Director at Cascade Publications. Make it Green has branched out from providing their service to individual home owners to working with home owner associations and would like to work with the many resort communities in Central Oregon. The company plans to hone the business model to eventually open offices throughout Oregon. After graduating from Bradley University with a degree in advertising and graphic design, she joined the Peace Corps and worked as a health and education volunteer in a remote village of Burkina Faso, West Africa.
